 In these K classrooms, you will see two approaches to recognizing and validating students as scientists and engineers. In the first video, students are sharing their final models and being recognized as the authors of ideas to help the children in Mariposa grove solve the problem for why caterpillars disappeared when a garden was built. In the second video, you will see a K teacher beginning a list about what engineers do by using a book the class found in the library and then asking students to recognize a classmate for thinking like an engineer.
