Empowering teachers with K-12 instructional materials that inspire and engage students.

mySci is a signature program of the Institute for School Partnership at Washington University in St. Louis. mySci is dedicated to creating equity in science learning through hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum that nurtures critical thinking and creativity.

World-Class Resources

Being part of Washington University means the Institute for School Partnership has the expertise of world class faculty to vet the science concepts embedded in the mySci units. We bridge research and practice to provide educators with the resources they need to give all students an opportunity to be successful.

Our Approach

mySci empowers schools to cultivate curiosity-driven education by assembling everything educators need to teach high-quality science. We provide continually updated NGSS and MLS standards-aligned curriculum, teaching strategies, learning materials, and ongoing support.

Engaging Learning Experience

mySci supports teachers to instill a love of science in their students through lessons that are phenomena-based, designed for 5E learning progression, and build on students’ prior knowledge. The curriculum is centered around solving real-world problems through experiential learning and critical thinking.

Partnership is in our name

  • mySci Instructional Specialists are experienced educators who work with partner schools/districts to assess needs and develop implementation plans.
  • mySci offers in-school, hands-on PD at the start of each unit. Classroom support incorporates best practices and empowers educators by building confidence in both content and pedagogy.
  • mySci year-round professional learning is customizable, available on a wide range of topics, and is targeted and tiered. Online learning options are available.

Community

mySci teachers value learning from each other and sharing ideas and experiences around the mySci curricula and kits. Throughout the year, mySci instructional specialists provide networking opportunities such as the annual mySci Unconference and regional content professional development opportunities, including full day Summer Institutes.
